The last of the Super Mario Advance series and the game that helped define all future Mario games, of all the NES games it was the most refined, so do all of the extra's included make the game any better?

Next up on the SNES to GBA port list was what I consider to best SNES game ever made, and out of all the games probably needed no extras to make it better as it already offered many of the new features all of these games were getting, would Nintendo change something to dramatically change the game or keep it as a direct port?

It started to be common practice for Nintendo to now take Mario games that appeared on home consoles and move them to handhelds and throw some extras in there, NES games that seemed a bit unrefined to begin with are one thing, but what about an already highly polished SNES game?
Would they add too many extras and change the game?

Much like Super Mario Deluxe Nintendo opted to bring an older game to it's new Gameboy Advance system this time Super Mario Bros.2 throwing in a bucket load of extras as they did before as well as enhancing the visuals further than in Super Mario All-Stars, but could they really improve what is often considered the weak link in the Mario series?
